As a coach you wear multiple different hats; you are a mentor, instructor, counselor, and leader. You are entrusted by your school administration or employer to make sure that above all your players are safe. By taking an American Heart Association CPR course you are ensuring the safety of your players in a medical emergency. If a cardiac arrest or heart attack occurred on the field, court, or turf would you know how to react?
Learning how to administer high quality CPR and using an AED can exponentially increase the chance of survival in a medical emergency. In the United States almost 18 cardiac related incidents occurred to student athletes. By taking CPR of America’s American Heart Association CPR and AED course you will learn to save a life and fulfill the Massachusetts Bill S.1918 which requires CPR training for athletic coaches.
A sudden cardiac arrest can occur at any moment, that is why in our courses we make sure that everyone leaves the training confident to perform in a medical emergency.
In our CPR and AED course we review
· How to administer Chest compressions
· Giving ventilations using mouth to mouth breaths
· Using a Pocket Mask to administer ventilations
· Delivering a shock using an AED (automated external defibrillator)
· Delivering abdominal thrusts to a responsive choking victim
· Much more!
