Founded in 1924 in Chicago the American Heart Association is a non-profit organization that is committed to battling heart disease and stroke. With over 40 million volunteers American Heart Association is working to reduce the number of fatalities of heart disease through research and training. At CPR of America, we are an American Heart Association training site that teaches high quality ACLS, BLS, First Aid, and CPR courses.
Over the past six year we have equipped thousands of students in the greater Boston area with the confidence to save a life in an emergency. Our most popular course in the American Heart Association BLS course for healthcare providers, which is a requirement for nurses, nursing school applicants, CNAs, medical doctors, and physical therapists. In this course we demonstrate the proper form for the chest compressions, how to use an AED, giving breaths with a bag mask device, using the Heimlich maneuver to remove an airway obstruction, and working as a team during a restoration attempt. By learning these fundamentals, you will have the tools to save a life in medical emergency. Upon successful completion of the BLS course you will receive a two-year certificate that is emailed to you directly from the American Heart Association.
