CPR requirements for massage therapist
As a massage therapist your hands or one of your most important assets. They help relax aching muscles of your client and helps to put them at ease. While your hands might be useful in that sense, they are critical when performing CPR or using an AED in a life-threatening emergency.
At CPR of America we work directly with the American Heart Association to provide CPR courses for massage therapist across Massachusetts. All of our instructors have all been teaching for over 4 years and have taught thousands of students. In some states learning CPR is even the law for massage therapist. For this criteria we recommend taking the BLS course for healthcare providers. This course consists of the fundamentals of CPR which include chest compressions, using an AED, scene safety assessment, Team Dynamics, and the removal of an airway blockage. This course is offered at our Boston, Walpole, and Wooster campuses. If you have any further questions please reach out to us directly at 781 854 8015. Four groups of six or more people we offer significant discounts.
